When Sydney Franklin Powers, Jr. (1918-1984) and his wife Edna Laverne Green (1919-2007) completed their new “dream” home at 1608 South Bonham Street in Amarillo in late 1950, they purchased a houseful of new, up-to-date, contemporary furniture that they used for the rest of their lives.
