CONSTITUTION DAY

On September 17, 1787, the Constitution of the United States of America was completed and signed by 39 delegates.  Celebrate the anniversary of this historic event at PPHM with activities including Constitution signing, calligraphy demonstrations, printing of the Constitution Preamble using typesetting and a printing press, a Constitution birthday party, readings of the Preamble and Bill of Rights and more.  PPHM will host two exhibits from Texas Humanities: The Bill of Rights and The Blessings of Liberty: The U.S. Constitution.  Also on exhibit will be objects from PPHM’s collection including a lock of George Washington’s hair, original signatures of founding fathers and Revolutionary War firearms. Regular admission charged.  School groups $3 per child. Sponsored by West Texas A&M University.

PPHM honors ten distinguished artists and art teachers associated with West Texas A&M University including Adele Brunet, H. D. Bugbee, Emilio Caballero, Clarence Kincaid Jr., Marilyn Miller Kincheloe, Amy Jackson, A. W. Mack, Alice Welty Nichols, Don Ray, Grant Reynard, Isabel Robinson and Olive Vandruff.


LLANO CEMETERY TOUR BY TWILIGHT

Hay ride tours are back by popular demand!  Featured grave sites on the walking tour change yearly, so if you've been before, you'll see new monuments and hear more fascinating stories. 

The Llano Cemetery Tour by Twilight is a collaborative effort between PPHM and the Llano Cemetery Association.  Cost of the event is $5 per person; children age 3 and under are free.  Weather permitting.  Enter the cemetery from the 34th Avenue entrance.
