PPHM is pleased to offer locations within the museum for business meetings, conferences, receptions, dinners and other miscellaneous events.
PIONEER HALL—Construction of Pioneer Hall began in 1932. More than 100 famous West Texas cattle brands surround the entrance. This building bears a State Antiquities Landmark designation for its unique Art Deco architectural style. At 4325 square feet, this part of the museum is perfect for large gatherings accommodating 200 people. Adjacent to the Pioneer Hall and leading into the Derrick Room is the Harrington Atrium, which is available for additional space.
DERRICK ROOM—Perhaps the most dramatic venue for your event at PPHM, this two-story room boasts an authentic cable tool drilling rig that can be seen from outside through the floor-to-ceiling windows. This room houses a balcony that overlooks the drilling rig, and also includes access to an adjacent atrium. Standing room on the first floor is approximately 4644 square feet, accommodating 300 for a reception and 160 for a seated dinner. This room is perfect for any type of reception, whether formal or casual.
PIONEER HALL and DERRICK ROOM—Together these rooms astound guests and create an atmosphere unlike any other.
HAZLEWOOD LECTURE HALL—Located on the second floor, Hazlewood Lecture Hall features a more intimate atmosphere with technological amenities such as an audio-visual booth, a large built-in projector screen, and a movable stage. This room is ideal for conference or convention functions, training or educational events. The room accommodates 200 for a reception or 120 for a seated dinner and is approximately 1894 square feet.
